Bocoy Cattle originated in Cuba during the early 1900s, where "Abuelo Blanco" established his empire encompassing Bocoy Rum, cattle, and real estate. He imparted his extensive knowledge of business, family, life, and, notably, cattle to his son, Ramon Blanco. Shortly after Ramon wed his wife, Angelina, they welcomed their daughter, Elena. However, they were compelled to flee Cuba for the United States as the communist party began to seize control of the government. Abuelo Blanco remained in Cuba, only to have everything he owned confiscated by the government shortly thereafter.

 

        Despite facing hardships, Ramon and Angelina raised their children and became devoted grandparents to their granddaughter, Audrie. Their legacy inspired the revival of the name "Bocoy." Although the Cuban dictator seized the family's properties, including the Bocoy Rum Factory and their cattle, the establishment of Bocoy Stables in 2003 marked the reclaiming of the name "Bocoy" for the Blanco family. In 2010, Elena's husband, Mike, played a pivotal role in founding Bocoy Ranches, INC. Bocoy Stables began as a modest horse boarding facility in SW Ranches, FL, and transformed into one of the most prominent horse sales, boarding, and training centers in Loxahatchee/Wellington, FL, for over 15 years. In late 2020, Bocoy relocated to Ocala, FL, expanding their equine division into the Bocoy Reproduction & Foaling Center, followed by further expansion in 2022 into the Bocoy Training Center. In a deeply emotional expansion in mid-2021, Bocoy had the privilege of honoring Abuelo Blanco, Ramon "Papa," and Angelina "Neni" by officially establishing Bocoy Cattle.
